The name says it all. Generous size, with shiny skin, perfect for malanzane parmigiana – the well known baked Italian dish. Plant in full sun and it will reward you with lots of food. For balcony gardens plant in a pot 40cm in depth and diameter, or larger.

Growing tips:
For best results germinate your seeds in trays filled with a good seedling mix. Keep warm and most and transplant them in rich organic soil when they are 5-7cm high. For direct sow: Plant in well prepared beds, rich in organic compost, Water regularly. Pick the fruits before the skin loses its gloss, which is a symptom of over ripeness to enjoy wholeheartedly.
