COMMENTS: If you are a beginner go for coastal brocolli before sprouting brocolli.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:Grow in seed trays and plant out at 4 – 6 weeks Nov to February. Depth 3x seed diameter. 35 – 50cm apart. Harvest 10 – 16 weeks. Cut flowerhead off with knife. Recommended soil pH 6 – 7. Side shoot regrowth after main head cut. Keep seedlings well watered. If left without water will bolt to seed and be inedible. Plants should grow to develop plenty of large healthy leaves, then the green flowerheads follow which are cut for eating. Leave the plant growing after cuttingto get additional crops from side shoots. Like warmer weather. Once the plant opens its yellow flowers then it is past eating. Harvest sooner rather than later. Grow fast with plenty of water and food and pick as soon as possible.

COMPANIONS: Dwarf beans, beetroot, celery, cucumber, onions, marigold, nasturtium, rhubarb, aromatic herbs

ENEMIES: White cabbage butterfly. Remove eggs and catrerpillas as soon as possible.Avoid growing with Pole beans, tomato, peppers, egg plant and strawberry and mustard
