DISTANCE BETWEEN PLANTS: 25cm
DISTANCE BETWEEN ROWS: 35-40cm
SEED DEPTH IN THE GROUND: 1.5-2cm
PEA VARIETY: GOLDEN SWEET
This very rare climbing pea has a yelllow pod and is a mangetout which is sweet and delicious. Freshly harvested they can be eaten raw in salads giving your salad that extra dimension of colour, or cooked in a stir fry. The flowers are purple and make a beautiful show in your garden. For balcony gardens sow seed in a pot 50cm in depth and diameter, or larger with trellising.
GROWING TIPS:
Sow seeds in well prepared beds with aged organic compost worked into yoru soil and no extra manure or fertilisers. Over feeding your peas will prevent the plant from flowering. This is a climbing variety and needs adequate trellising. Water refularly, particularly during dry spells. Far the best results, keep the soil most.
